IBM provide excellent tools to work with DB2. Starting from DB2 9.7 DB2 control Center is deprecated and will be removed in future versions of DB2. The replacement tool for DB2 Control Center is IBM Data Studio.

It include additional functionality of PL/SQL development, Java programming, etc. other important extension. It is eclipse based and its shell is shared with other IBM Optim tools such as Optim Database Administrator.
